Daily Photo #9 - Local Bars

Brightwood Inn is a local institution. It’s located at the front of my neighborhood. This photo was taken during the day so you miss the full effect of the neon lights embedded in the outside walls. You can see “Sizzling Steaks” to the far left. Miss Lucille is quite the character and welcoming to all (except troublemakers and no one gives her trouble). She is very proud of her Long Island Ice Teas. Her boyfriend of some 40 years is the owner and at her advanced age (near 80) she works 6 days a week on her feet, in part, for her love of Paul. He calls her every morning to tell her how much he loves her. Lucille beams when she tells this story.
